Madeline mc Canns parents
I think that now they are back home its going to hit them like a ton of bricks...i cannot see them hurting her or killing her as some have said .. it is just too sad for words even after all this time

Supernick....I hope that you are not a parent if these really are your views on parenting.
Is it right that the McCanns left all three children in a creche on holiday while they went out? If this is the case then how on earth could the rest of their family consider them to be loving and caring parents, unless they have a very skewed attitude to parenting as well.
And as for saying that they do not want any more publicity....why on earth was their front door left wide open on returning home so that they could be seen being hugged as they walked in?
Whatever their misguided excuse is to why they left their children unattended, THE McCANNS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MADELINE'S DISAPPEARANCE. The abducter, if in fact there was one, could not have done this if the opportunity was not there.

Laurence you are a parent, aren't you? If my children went missing I would personally try and make sure that everyone on the planet knew about it so that I could get them back. Or maybe thats just me!

Ben Needham's mum was considered a suspect by the greek? police for the first month after he disappeared. I think thats one of the reasons the media coverage wasnt so high, I also think the internet and the new non celebrity celebrity culture has aided the campaign to find out what has happened to Maddie.

I haven't made any assumptions about the McCanns. What I find surprising is that people can't grasp the logic of them deliberately generating publicity.
Clue: it's because their daughter is missing. And the more people who know, the greater the chances of her being found.

Even if I put aside my belief that they did nothing wrong in popping out for a couple of hours, quite how people can assert that they are somehow responsible for the abduction, or even deserved it, is quite frankly absurd.
I'm always amazed at how fast the British people turn on people, often based on nothing other than rumour and suspicion. These days if we can't see something in front of us (like the McCanns weeping on TV) we are quick to suspect the worst. It's no wonder that we feast on reality TV, where people's emotions can be displayed right in front of us so we can feast on it.
How are we getting our information on this case? From the secretive Portugese police, and then filtered through a hysterical tabloid press. Admit it, some of you just want them to have done it for the sheer sensation that the story would provoke. People want the to share the horror around the watercooler, and gossip over the fence, and of course facts don't matter anymore.
I don't usually get too riled about these things, but to see people turned upon based on PARTIAL forensic results, which is only confirmed as DNA not blood, is frightening.

I have seen on several occassions relatives of a murder victim pouring their heart out on TV and appealing for witnesses when in fact it was them.
The only people who know the truth are the mccanns and they have to live with what happened everyday - good.

I'm certainly not suggesting that their parenting is beyond criticism.
But just because they are partly responsible, it seems bizarre to criticise them for attempting to put it right by generating publicity.
It's like accidentally setting your house on fire with the children upstairs and then being criticised for trying to get them out.
"You should have been more careful in the first place. You're only running into the burning building because you think it makes you look good. What you should be doing is sitting on the lawn, crying."

the mccanns are trained professionals, as doctors they are disiplined to remain calm in a crisis situation.
the shutter in the mccans apartment was forceibly opened from the outside.
yes guilty of leaving 3 vulnerable kids. have to live with that decision for the rest of there lives.
