Is this sentence long enough?
http://news.uk.msn.com/Article.aspx?cp-documen tid=6447777
Is two years each a long enough sentence for these boys? I personally think they should have gotten longer, they'll be out in about a year so will be able to brag to their mates about how they practically got away with murder. Does anyone know what the maximum sentence is for what they did?

I just wanted to point out that, it is not always bad parenting that turns children into monsters. I begged people to tell me were i was going wrong. Someone has said that the parents should be helped , and I agree, Especially if those parents want and need the help. I know there are a lot of parents who do not care, but that is not always the case.
but the help was not available to us when we needed it.
I hope that these boys wherever they are sent, are given the help they need. I hope they will get a shock like my son did. I hope they are appalled at the consequences of their actions. If not then I am afraid there is no hope for them.
The family of the man who died, have said that they are happy (not the right word!) with the sentences, given that they are children. Bless them, they have my heartfelt sympathy.

Thank you Kleiber . He is 27 now, and has been in the same job for 7 years. He has a partner who is a primary school teacher , and a son who is 3 years old. He still drives us up the wall. He is hopeless with money, broke 2 days after payday! But he is an angel compared to how he was. We can talk now about how he was. He still cant explain why he was like he was, but he is ashamed about
his behaviour, and what he put us through. We cant ask for more than that.

sambro I know that the help out there is not available to everyone and in all areas, and when your son was younger there probably wasnt any at all. it was the same for my mum back then.
Now there is some help in some places, there are parenting courses that do work and change peoples lives for the better. Some courses dont work but some do and if the parents are willing to stick to it, with a lot of hard work, it can work. I know someone who had a lot of problems with her first child, she had her own problems too. After doing this parenting course she is now loving every minute of being a mum and her son changed. Their life has changed. She now runs the course herself and helps others in similar situations.
