I always quite fancied visiting Portugal but i'm not allowed to travel by aeroplane because of a medical condition and couldn't cope with going by sea or land. I bet you can get some cheap package deals there at the moment though.

China, I'm willing to bet that Portugal, will have record numbers of British holidaymakers next year.
Most will want to stay in, or visit, Praia Da Luz, where Maddie disappeared.
I suppose its a bit like all those people, who want to visit TV series locations, where it actually happened, sad, but true.
Couldn't see the point in your post at all my old china, you were just making a statement which could have been posted in any of the two previous Portugal headings.
Not trying to be contentious, it just makes for a tidier News Topics.
China - what nonsense were you annoyed about? Are you refering to the previous threads about Portugal? One of which was mine! Do you think that my thread was nonsense? Or am I being a bit too sensitive here?
China, I've got an Indian friend who went to Portugal for his hoilday, before he went, (he's a manager) one of his Portugese staff wrote down some usefull phrases for him to use such as " Good morning, how are you" and "can I have a beer please"? however he kept wondering why he kept getting evil looks when he spoke to the hotel staff/shopkeepers etc but he put it down to his Indian/English accent.
One morning he came down down for breakfast and waved to the receptionist and said a cheery "good morning" in his best Portugese and recieved the usual frown so he asked what was thgew matter, "is it because I'm Indian" ?he asked, "no" was the curt reply, "you just said good day and called me a fat monkey"
Turned out, Dikap's staff had wrote a whole load of Portugese insults just for a laugh
