No nor the sweaties.

They have their own parliaments (but still want to stick their noses in ours) , have chips on their shoulders about the english when the majority of english people has no like or dislike of them. I think we should go the whole hog and let them raise their own taxes. However they would soon be crying when revenue recieved was less than what they were spending.

Its not that we 'stick our noses in' YOUR parliament Rev.....we don't have a choice - seeing as Wales is still governed from central government. Even though we have our own, we don't have all the say in what happens....unfortunately.
oh and about the flag...no I think we should keep our own flag with the Welsh Dragon on.

They should be included but it is too late.

The Union is irrelevant.
I'm not insulted, only bemused.
Rev, more money from your taxes go to Northern Ireland and London than go to Scotland
Born and bred in London, you may think im mad, but I think that there needs to be somesort of patriotism and welcome each other, I have no problem or beefs with any of the other countries within the UK (only the minor one when it comes to sports but thats everyone), but I feel that a majority of people would want to keep their own identity. Its too late.

If it went ahead, I suppose it would mean that the England football team would cease to exist and that there would be a UK team, thus allowing ther good players from other countries in? Could be good?

My own opinion - it wouldnt bother me either way, its only a flag, its what running your veins that counts.
chicklin I don't think there is any danger to your flag ~ it is the Union Flag which is being debated, so all of us can keep our national flags..well, apart from the English as apparently we aren't allowed to display the St George Cross ;o)

Why wasn't Wales included in the Union Flag?
The Kingdom of England had included Wales since 1535 and the St. George's flag represent both.

The first Union Flag (1606) represented the Union of the Crown of England and the Crown of Scotland and the slightly different design but amalgamated both St. George's and St. Andrew's flags.

The present flag was changed in 1801 to include Ireland.
I'm with the Rev. I'm sick of the Taffs and the sweaties coming to England and moaning about how much better it is at home. Well if it is that much better why dont you all go back there then we wont have to listen to you. (Not that we can understand most of you anyway)

Now calm down all. As I announced on another thread I'm in charge again now, Had a nice chat with Gordon earlier and he's agreed he'd be better of mugging the darby and joan, you lucky people. I'm going to abolish those irrelevant devolved entities and run the whole show myself from now on. Now lets all gang up on France, they're after all the real enemy!
I'll drink to that .
Reverend, the sweaties are already on the flag. Don't compare the sweaties to the welsh either as we are nothing alike. The scottish mountains are not covered in litter and burnt out cars.
