I used to work for an airline and nightstopped many times in the KSA. The strictest area we went to was Dhahran.
One time there was a kerfuffle at hotel check in, and I had to be re-allocated a room - because I was originally in the next room to one of the girls in the airline. It was not accceptable for me to sleep on the other side of a brick wall from a girl.
A steward and stewardess from the airline were arrested for walking down the street together, while not being married or related. They were not in physical contact.
Nothing surprises me with the evil sand ni66ers and their abhorrent religion. When they'd stone a woman to death for having audacity to get herself raped, they'd not think twice about allowing divorce by proxy. I'm surprised she wasn't given 100 lashes as well for having the brass neck to fall in love with someone not on her perverted family's approved list. Dunno why the world tolerates these deviants.
Gromit,
we arrived in Saudi on Christmas eve 1990 to prepare for the Gulf war, the Saudi religious police stopped all female military drivers from doing their job, when we asked why they were doing this, the police said 'give a woman a car and she will drive it into a bunch of men, driving is too complicated for women'
I don't think King Abdullah would give two hoots if the poor woman did comit suicide, they are always doing abhorent acts against women and allowed to get away with it in the name of "religion".
