Telegraph report:
"Nigel Waterson, Tory MP for Eastbourne and shadow minister for Work and Pensions, was arrested yesterday for allegedly assaulting his teenage son and daughter.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said that he could confirm that at around midnight on Sunday night officers attended an address in Bromley following reports of an assault.
The spokesman said: "A 58 year old man was arrested. Detectives from the Child Abuse Investigation Command (SCD5) are investigating.
"The victim did not attend hospital. Following police attendance an allegation was made concerning previous alleged offences on a second victim."
The spokesman stressed that the allegations were not of a sexual nature.
Mr Waterson was later released on bail to return to a south London police station on a date in early March pending further inquiries."
