My lad was putting some stuff in a friends attic a week or so ago and slipped and before you know it his leg was dangling through the ceiling , Feeling obliged to repair the ceiling i arranged to do it today , did the job , cost me 4.10 for the plaster board and just wants skimming in now, As I was gathering up my tools she said I have been to ikea and brought 4 boxes of new furniture would it be possible for you to put it together ....... 5 hours later and its up ....friends who needs them...........anybody else been doing a good deed today begrudgingly ??.....
I have been doing nothing nice for anyone today. I have slept in and played isketch and drunk tea. I may eat some praawns soon. Your story reminds me of my grandad going to the loft to get some extra chairs and falling through the ceiling. HE landed in his armchair much to everyones amusement. It's probably wrong it makes me snigger when I think about it.
Hi tufty, I'm sure she appreciated all your hard work! Good on you. I haven't done any good deeds today. I suppose you could say my husband did me a good deed preparing a wall for a wall light to be put up, I just got in the way lol!
Ray sparks on here did me a good deed telling me what we had to buy to get the job done! xxx
a friend in need is a friend indeed.
what kind of friend are you if you if you
talk about helping your friend when
they most needed you? were you in
this friend situation, wouldn't you
have appreciated the friendly help?
you are showing yourself to be selfish.
Chatterbank, I planned for the ceiling job to last me an hour, having other things to do with my only day off I have to myself, it actually ended up more like 6 hours, so selfish does not come into it ,
