This petition is obviously the work of those who are pro EU because they want the best President who will fit in with the supposed EU morality.
If you are anti-EU (as opposed to European) then you should think carefully before signing.

Lucy it is a bit nieve to think that if Blair was President of the EU he would be unable to act independently of the USA. No one questions his ability but the Iraq war shows his judgement is faulty. Sucking up to a superior power hoping your own voice will be listened to will never work unless you agree with them. The pretence involved in Iraq shows him to be a chamelon, and not a leader.

SP1214. I don't know what makes you think I'm being neive (sic) and I don't know why you mention the USA, I didn't. You also seem to be under the impression that I think Blair is a good leader. Ten years of destroying Britain tells me that he is probably the worst PM this country has ever had.
The EU is full of failed, corrupt has-beens. He would fit in well.
