Deport our foreign criminals

Isn't it time this country deported our foreign criminals, just like the Australian's do. I refer of course to such cases as Learo Chindamo.

trouble with the Chindamo case is that even if we sent him back to Italy, EU rules say EU subjects can live anywhere in the EU so he could presumably just come back! Better to just execute the scum in the first place.

Side point - why are there no comments on the paedophile case?

It would be interesting to see what people think about the wholesale import of convicted British crims after serving time abroad.

For instance, what would happen of the Thai government decided to send all the Brit paedophiles after serving their time?

Blimey! Hardly bears thinking about.

By the way, I've been told by a colleague that there isn't actually a law against deporting convicted criminals who have served their time. But first the courts have to be assured that they do no break provisions of the HRA.

I don't think we can opt out of bits of the HRA which we don't like politically/socially.

I say each case should be decided seperately. Paedophiles should be excuted. They have no use in society, they CANNOT be rehabilitated..period!

Over 4,000 foreign national prisoners were deported last year.

Chindamo won his appeal because he was only a child when he left Italy.

This country like it or not, will have to bring Capital punishments back. Paedophiles, I think should be killed with possibly most painful way. I have no respect for people who commit these sort of crimes against the elderly and the young (including murder). If I have a chance to be honest I will kill these people myself.

And what happens then?

Would you be happy with Mr Glitter moving in next door to you?

If it's someone who's abducted (or worse) a child abroad, then they wouldn't have to sign te sex offenders register.

How do we feel about it the other way around?

The very worst person you should turn to, to deliver justice is the victim.

I have...and believe me, in the days afterwards, if I actually found the person who did I, I would've quite happily squirted paraffin on him/her and set them alight.

When you start going down the road of apportioning revenge, you get into a whole sticky Sharia Law area.

It is nothing to do with Sharia Law. Even I did not mention that. Every one knows that more and more people have started talking here about the return of capital punishment. That tells us the story about the failure of justice system here. It was even a topic on last Sunday question time. If justice is served on the burglar who burgled you, then you would not have to think about revenge and set fire to him and long before that he would have thought twice before doing what he did.

If the criminal was a British subject, no one could stop them coming back to the UK if they so wished.

If they didn't wish to come back here, you can guarantee the host country would soon send them back. Just as in the case in question.
