I hope he does get a flat and protection.If he was just bought into the UK and allowed to live rough then he would be impossible to keep tabs on and an even higher risk to children.He has served his time in Australia for his most recent crime and there is nothing we can do about him being here unfortunately, other than keep an eye on him if possible. As there have been photos of him published on the internet and in newspapers I expect he will have a hard time just staying in one piece anyway. I would rather he had been castrated or something but he hasn't so we just have to deal with the situation as it is.

I agree with the castation thing - the studies are pretty promissing and the Government's looking at it.

Wouldn't be able to do it in this case though as he's not committed a crime in the UK.

Incidently under the last government nobody would have been able to touch him as he'd not committed a crime here.

The Sexual offences act 2003 means that he can be put on the register and be monitorred. He can also have a restraint put on him barring him from being near children

What's interesting about this article is that it doesn't mention the good that he can bring to the country - he'll pay taxes and is willing to work from what I could gather from his solicitor's statements.
