McCanns (again)

Just been on the news that the McCanns are considering pulling out of the reconstruction in Portugal. Why? don't they want their daughter found, they are just blocking everything. I do not understand them.

Me too, Netibiza! They should go back to Portugal. They are now putting their so called 'feelings' above finding Madeleine. They are arrogant, manipulative, cowardly people who neglected their child. I just can't stand to see their faces in the media any more!!

What are the PJ putting above finding Madeleine? They have never put themselves out to find her have they? They have not got a clue what happened to her. Instead they have just done their damndest to pin it on the parents. Which is I believe their usual MO. They are a disgrace. Their conduct from the beginning beggars belief?
The suggestion about the other 7 people covering up for the Mccanns is ridiculous? Why would they? Would you cover up for a friend if that friend had murdered their child?

Well to be fair to the PJ, the waters have been terribly muddied. Gordon Brown even sent someone to investigate and he returned saying he didn't think they should get involved. Even England has some long unsolved murders ie Genette Tate, although I think that has maybe at last be solved but after 30 yrs. The PJ probably know what happened but can't get proof. And let's face it at least 2 of the friends have made strange statements, and why should Ms Tanner say she saw a child in arms in a blanket months later and then say oh no it was in pink pyjamas. And why do the mcCanns contradict each other over the cuddle cat, she says it was on shelf, he says it was on bed! Nothing is right!!!

Im with neti that the PJ probably know what happened but can't prove it. I also agree about them contradicting each other and changing stories. I believe they are lying through their teeth (not all the tapas group, just the mccanns and 3 maybe 4 of the others)

persianlady why do you think they are trying to set up the mccanns? Within days of maddy disappearing, the mccanns had a fund set up with money flooding in, they had the backing of the rich and famous and they had hired top lawyers, one of whom is an extradition specialist. Surely if the PJ wanted to set anyone up it would have been far easier to set up one of the local paedophiles they questioned, or even one of the british paedophiles that have been questioned cos they were out there at that time or even one of the gypsies who were travelling around the area? It would have been far far easier for them to set up someone like that but instead they decide to set up a group of people who probably have no criminal record and who before this happened would have probably been respected members of the community and who have over a million pound in a fund and lawyers paid for? That in my opinion is a load of crud. Its easier to believe the 'premeditated murder' theory or the hoax theory than believe the PJ are trying to set them up.

one thing that really really puzzles me about this whole thing is the official Fnd Maddy site set up by the mccanns.

Maddy went missing in may 2007 yet on some of the pages on the official site the copyright is 2006. How can that be?

How very strange pixi, it's the same as they have "set" up this Missing child hotline in Europe, it's been there before they ever "thought" of it. oooh! they make me so mad!!!!

1...why would the Portuguese police need the McCanns for a reconstruction......they did ****** all except have their fun

2...I am sick of people saying that the McCanns will be paying for their 'mistake' for the rest of their lives. Surely it is their daughter who is/has paid the price.

Personally, I think they will avoid going back to Portugal because of the reaction they will get from the local Portuguese. And a deserved reaction, in my opinion.

The McCanns know full well what they did was dreadful. I agree with I Don.no and find it extremely difficult to have any sympathy with them at all. That poor little girl who's parents put their evenings out with friends above their babies' safety - it is so distressing.
