J K Rowling of Harry Potter fame has donated �1m to the Labour Party to help eradicate child poverty. She says poor and vulnerable families will fare much better under Labour!! Do you agree!Should she have donated it to a childrens charity or hospital!

It is now apparent as to why she is a good fantasy writer. She lives in cloud cuckoo land, quite clearly!!!.

I think a better way to promote the eradication of child poverty would not be to promote a huge series of books, lunch boxes, DVD's, pens, wizard outfits etc etc etc at exorbitant prices so poor families MADE POOR by Mr. G Brown's policies have to fork out on.

I hope, and this will teach her a lesson on promoting an evil government, she dies a painful and undignified feminine death,

Abdulmajid, I give you a star rating mainly for being the first to answer but I disagree with your strong comments concerning "painful and undignified death" etc Quite unneccesary comments! I was interested in peoples views on the topic! not the death penalty!

The alleviation of child poverty in this country rests with the "poverty-stricken" parents.

Those so poor as to be unable afford to support children without massive state (i.e. taxpayer) aid simply should not have them.
