Why is there so much religious hatred in the World? Why can't people respect and accept each others beliefs? Is it too much to ask for?

The rest of the world are reporting that this woman is South African. She doesn't even live here.

Yes she is indeed Gromit and the Beeb report the same but she lived here for some years so I don't know if that has relivance here.
According to the Beeb report the Taliban killed her because they said she was a foriegn spy.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/76 79212.stm

So we have different points of view on the case.
We won't really know why she was killed because no one is going to be telling the truth.
That report says the women killed in August were because they were spys, not this woman.

This question is about her being killed for being a Christian and about religious intolerance. That has accepted the Taleban's lies as truth. In reality, she was killed because the Taleban do not want western foreigners in Afghanistan, we should not believe their pathetic excuses.
That's more like it gromit
I totally agree that any excuse they give isn't going to cut the mustard really.
They shot the woman because they didn't want her there and maybe they are hoping this will deter others from coming to thier country.
They have done it in the past and they will keep on doing it because they like living in the dark ages.
But people will still keep going to Afganistan because they want to help.
Personally I'm wondering if it's all worth it.
Yes it is because there are a lot of Afgans who don't want to live in the dark ages.
First of to Geezer My apology if I misunderstood what you said.

Taliban as we know here are bad boys. I am not saying they are saints now. But I do know that Taliban as we know them before American invasion were not bad. Of course they did few wrong things but American showed them as bad because they wanted a reason to attack Afghanistan for a military base to put pressure on Russia and china. There are solid reports that Americans were planning to attack Taliban even before 9/11. If we talk about drugs (poppy) then during Talibans time cultivation of poppy was completely banned. It only restarted after allied attack.

That woman killed, again I am not saying it is 100% true or false but there are reports that Americans are using media reporters and NGOs for spying.

Again before anyone jump on me only because I am Muslim and I am not agreeing with you then please think that I am from where Afghans are every where, my own brother is on a very high rank in ISI (Pakistan military Intelligence). Even in Pakistan now, people who are arrested with proofs for terrorism are ordered to be released soon after by the higher command. Now this police man whos funeral it was had arrested few people and they were ordered to be released from higher command, later he was killed and they even attacked his funeral. How I know something which never published in paper because he was a first cousin of a very good friend and he spoke to him few day ago.

If someone remember I said this about 8 months ago that the time will come when the same media will start presenting Taliban as goody again, and isnt happening again. I know people do not like, but it is media that makes our mind. Unless any of you is Afghan and has first hand knowledge.
I'm afraid Keyplus anything you now say is without merit.

You will not address things that you cannot answer, whilst attacking anyone you perceive to have a weakness.

You are the typical bully pushing harrassing but with knoiw real substance.

I will not enter into dialogue with you anymore.

How do you justify what was done in the name of Allah yesterday. Saying the Talliban are naughty don't cut it.
Dave, you've assumed this was done in the name of Allah - in an act of religious intolerance.

Some people are disputing that.
Davethedog

Can you justify what was done here by a Christian army in Afghanistan?

" Thirty-three Afghan civilians died during U.S. air strikes in August on a village in western Afghanistan, the U.S. military said on Wednesday"

Nah Quin I don't think that any act of violence can be quantified by religion.

What I am doing is using what the Taliban said which according to the press that it was because she was theaching Christianity in the face of Islam. to have a go at what I perceive to be the utter hypocrasy of Keyplus.

Gromit no I can't but thats not the point is it.
Gromit Dont worry leave him alone Dave does not know what he is talking about. And here he is trying to give an expression as I am knocking on door and pleading to accept what I am saying. His example is like,

A man and a woman were arguing over something, A passer by asked what is the matter? I want our son to be a doctor and daughter a school teacher man said. No way, woman replied, Our son would become a politician and daughter I do not mind as doctor, Gynaecologist, preferably She said.

Third man (passer by) asked, how old are your children?

Ermm they are not born yet they replied.

Ohh so why are you arguing now? He asked.

Because he is proposing me and before I say yes, I do want to confirm few things with him as I know what he is like woman replied.

So same like those people Mr Dave the dog is trying to make something. Poor fella.
Gromit

What constitutes a civilian when one is fighting an enemy who wears no uniform that differentiates themselves from innocent civilians?

This same reasoning can be attached to the difference between a moderate muslim and a fundermentalist , that resides in this country.

How can one differentiate between them?

Who can one trust?
anotheoldgit

The people firing bullets at you are the enemy. The other people are the ones we are trying to help.

You can trust muslims, most are honourable. You have to trust people or the terrorists have won.
If you can't just an answer just patronise, a prime example of a stupid bully as I said.

You carry on Key you just prover my point at every turn.

You are nothing but a bully who can do nothing but quote dogma.

I know exactly what i'm talking about, unlike you.

Please someone here give some applause to such a commanding speech. Don't be so ignorant please give my little birdie a big hand. BBC news even reported that after listening to a birdie on AB at least one million Muslims gave up Islam and another 1.5 million who were thinking to become Muslims changed their mind and instead decided to grow some feathers and are now believed to be following birdeism.

you seem to be descending into personal abuse, birdie. This is customarily seen as a sign you're losing the argument.
