Why could the school not have chosen an all white cast for the Nativity play, or would they then been accused of racism?
But then perhaps in this school it is the white children that are the minority, therefore there would not have been enough children to make up the cast.

Firstly, young muslims were taking part in the play, I find that very inspiring. Secondly, a muslim father was saddened that the play had been postponed, he said there was room for the two religions to celebrate their festivals alongside each other. Eid lasts three days, the children don't have to be at home for the whole time, they could still have done the play and then finished their celebration of Eid afterwards.
There is however an Ultimate problem, and political correctness, religious harmony cannot crawl around it.
Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
You can't find a middle path here, either Jesus is the son of God, or he isn't. There is no prophet (pbuh) compromise.
It is not possible for Christians to dilute their beliefs to fit in with and placate Islam, because if they do, then their belief has gone.
There is no middle path. The Western way of life will go under as a result of trying to find a compromise.

Cherrybea,
The answer is no. Thanksgiving is a really good holiday. (apart from it celebrating the fact that the pilgrims defeated the Native Americans and destroyed their land just because they wanted to discover a new land...)
****-head you might get reported for that answer - a bit too far if you ask me.
