It is his stance against gay bishops that church insiders believe may have prompted the insult.

Perhaps just a case of an inappropriate (or maybe appropriate choice of words)

I think if he hadn't been sacked it would have been remarkable!

I wonder what would happen to me if I called a senior member of my company that in a circular distributed to 43 offices and 10 Downing street?

Why are these right-wingers always so rude? There seems to be a slight lack of Christian charity in his words, wouldn't you agree?
Your question seems a little confused.

Are you asking whether the ar*ehole insult is inappropriate or appropriate?

The insult was aimed at someone because they oppose homosexuality and muslims. Similar views to yourself AOG, but I would not say ar*ehole was approprate choice of words to describe yourself.
I agree with Jake. Who would expect to hang on to their job after doing something like that?
He is spot-on-right, a pity traditional values are being lost.

I'm still also grappling with "Asian Christian". Is faith dependent upon race? Reportage is drowned by political correctness.

Why would faith be dependent upon race?

One cannot win, with some of you on here, even during the festive season.

It was only supposed to be a light hearted jibe at the insult word.

Even when i make no particular comment, I still seem to offend, perhaps I should resign my membership on Answer Bank, and join another blog where one can choose to have a laugh or enter into a serious debate.

But eh! I think it would be a pretty boring site on here, judging by some of the other postees.

I believe the BNP forum might be right up your street.
Actually there's a very serious point here.

This man has effectively tendered his resignation when he did this and he must have known it at the time.

You can only guess at the exaperation that must have been behind such an act.

It's symptomatic of the huge rift that's been building up for years between traditionalists and liberlas in the church of England.

With regard to the other question on the establlishment of the chuch of England it begins to beg the question of exactly which church of England is actually established!

I will treat that comment with the contempt it richly deserves.

Much as I do with all your other rather supercilious postings.
Just a light hearted jibe, AOG
