I heard on the radio today that the little darlings who wear the high visibility tabards when doing 'community service' are very upset because passers-by shout at them and abuse them. What is the world coming to when convicted criminals can't serve their sentences in peace?

The ones in the US clearing up the roadside wear similar, with CONVICT in big letters on them. Oh, and a large bloke with a gun standing watching them. There is yet plenty of opportunity to enhance the spectacle in the UK.

Well, that's part of the punishment, so perhaps it will act as a deterrent, which would be nice.
