Yet another man fathering children with his daughter

It happened many, many years ago but at last justice has caught up with this 72 year old man.

What makes them do it?

I don't understand how someone who commits as hideous a crime as this can only get 14 years. He'll prob. be out in 7... lets hope he gets a 'welcome visit' from fellow prisoners asap...

He'll serve 7 and then be out on tag. So he'll be almost 80 when he gets out. He is going to be kept in isolation. As a "nonce" he is an automatic target for the other lags so he is going to constantly be in fear of retribution. Plus prison is notoriously hard on the elderly or disabled.

That's not to say I have any sympathy for him. He bloody deserves a damn good rogering every day from the biggest bloke in the wing.

You don't want to know what happens in prison Terambulam. The popular press would have us believe it is a holiday camp with all mod cons. I have been in a few Cat B prisons and they are godforsaken hell holes. Why people reoffend is beyond me. I don't actually want to ever go there again and I get paid for it!!!!!!

inspite of his lengthy rein of abuse I wonder if neighbours or family were aware of this. Too often abuse goes unreported by the community and family. Surely someine was suspicious techers , neighbours??

how on earth would you suspect something like that, pinktwink? It's hardly an everyday diagnosis, is it? 'That guy next door looks a bit odd, bet he rapes his children'? Naah.

As to what makes them do it, same answer. It's vanishingly rare even if two cases in a year - in the same continent! - make it seem otherwise. I doubt there's a gene for it. To put it in pollsters' terms, if you tried to poll all the daughter-rapists in the world you'd get a sample so tiny you could draw no conclusions whatever.

In few areas incest sex is common, especially when people have no moral values due to some sort of influence of alcohol, drugs, stress due to family problems etc. Its only we know when a daughter gets pregnant.

So in other words we can only see the tip of the iceberg. Serious work is needed to sort these problems.
