have you noticed when police request IDs these days they often say 'white or asian'? Surely it's not too difficult to be more specific.

It may be that they are recording it for stas purposes. If a person is stopped it could be because of his or her appearance and if an individual is stopping a higher percentage than would be the norm then there may need to be isues addressed.

I am white but you can not tell from that if I am French or German for exampe so if someone is biased against a particular skin colour, there is little point asking for the nationality is there?

There are also folk who may be of mixed race and it is for them to say what they class themsels as.

Its the same when they keep finding these body parts scattered around Luton but they are frightened to say the parts belong to an Asian for fear of sensitivities. Even the IRA would not stoop so low as to cut the bodies up after a murder. Its not a white done thing!
I'm confused...
I thought it was when the police stop folk and then have to fill out forms to say why somone was stopped.
Why not just say definitely not Black?
