After watching this on Channel 4, I wondered if it happens again will there be a media blackout?
It seems that the handlers used T.Vimages to orchestrate the attacks.
Also will it mean that in such an instance that the emergency phone system be put into operation? Whereby the government takes over control of all phone networks, am I right about that?

I wondered about the TV coverage too. It seems it was just fuelling them.
I'm not sure about the phones though. Would that be feasible? Say I decided I was going to attack somewhere (for clarifcation, this is hypothetical), and the Government took over the phone networks.
The Government don't know who I am, let alone what netword I'm on. I can only imagine there'a lot of people making phone calls at any given time, so how would they find me in particular?

The good thing with satelite phones is that you'd be able to get a fix on the callers position a lot easier (I assume) because of their rarity.
That thought did cross my mind also, added to that the phones are expensive and the more money they spend on infrastructure the less they spend on hardware.

Aw thaks Lakitu I didn't know you cared (blush) what I understand they do is, they take over all the networks, all phones in that area go off air except the emergency services.
I couldn't phone home, you couldn't phone anyone etc. what it would mean is that any handlers would not be able to organise the attack from a remote location.
They could use radios but again the messages would easier to pick up.
That's one thing I found curious, how did the Indian security forces know to monitor those phones?

Gawd, I hope that never happens! I'd be anxious without my phone LOL.
I found that curious too, that they knew who to monitor, they started monitoring fairly early on.
There was a British guy on This Morning a few weeks back that was in the hotel at the time. He and his girlfriend heard the gunshots so the guy called his Dad in the UK asking him to switch on the news to find out what was happening. Dad saw nothing on the news.
If this guy is to be believed, and I don't see why he'd lie, it was his Dad that alerted the British Embassy about something going on over there. They had no idea.
I didn't think anything of it at the time, but after watching that documentary, there was the taxi explosions, the train station massacre and then the hotel some time later. I am now finding it odd that they didn't know.
I'm going to be highly controversial here, but a small part of me feels sorry for the guys who did it. They have been conditioned by their 'superiors' to believe that they are doing God's work. They haven't been taught their Religion properly, but by egotistical men.
These poor sods really believe what they're doing is Gods will, and for that, I can't help but feel sorry for the path their life has taken.
