Seems harsh but will deter more to Greece.
No.
As Nick Griifin BNP said, make sure lifeboats and jackets are available and sink the boats. Seem to me the ultimate deterrent.

The Australian Authorities seemed to have solved the problem a year or so ago when the refused to let a boatload of illegal immigrants to land.
You're brave sqad.
sqad.....glad you chose Balearics instead of Greece or Oz ;)

It seems the Christmas Island detention centre is at capacity with over 30 boatloads a year!

Griffin said nothing of the sort. When pressed he said

They can throw them a raft so they can go back to Libya.

That may work for the Greeks, but as a rule, illegal immigrants to this country do not live in cardboard boxes. In fact they do not live in shanty towns, they are more widely distributed.

I'd like to see immigration ended, the world over. And not just from country to country but from town to town.

It's not right to mix the culture of, say, Sandbach with that of Holmes Chapel or Congleton.

I'm from Sandbach and I'm always hearing Haslington accents or seeing Nantwich Town scarves. These outsiders don't integrate into our way life. They ignore the May Day market and don't understand the significance of the Saxon Crosses or the theatrical work on the Sandbach Players.

We've tried integrating but it clearly doesn't work.

Why can't they stay at home instead of taking our homes and jobs? I've heard that people from Middlewich and Alsager get preferential treatment in our council housing lists.

Slowly buy surely they're turning Cheshire into a federal super-county.

Keep Sandbach for the Sandbachians.
Jake....Christmas Island is not in Australia....that was my point.....they are not allowed into the country.

How about the UK using the Isle of Man as a detention centre?
LOL
Or maybe set up a camp just the other side of the Channel tunnel?

What is it about Labour governments. Since Labour have assumed power in Australia the immigration rules have been relaxed.

Our open door policy since Labour assumed power
is irreversible. They want to build super towns to accommodate them all. The history of building sink estates close to posher areas is well known. What a legacy!
