this is just getting beyond a joke now, my son in law wanted to take photos of my grandson on a wateslide in a small holiday park and nearly got thrown out as there is a ' no camera rule', WTF !!
During the same holiday i wanted to take pictures of all my grandsons ( 6 of them ) on Peranporth beach i actually felt like a criminal...
Until this situation is resolved there will be generations of children growing up with no photographic record..

110,000 in a population of 60million.
Accept that paedophiles are male adult.
110,000 in 30 million........because the other 30million are females.
Now children......2 kids to a family
110,000 in 7.5 million of adult males......now what do you think?
I have changed my mind......PC is correct in this case.

I am glad I have adult children now!! What should I do with all those albums of him, his friends, his sports days, etc. (and yes him with the little girl next door actually kissing when they were 24 months and 13 months respectively - and another at age 13 months toddling down the beach with his cousin, both with bare bottoms) Should I get rid of them in case my home is ransacked by the police?
Yes, the world has gone mad, and a lot of today's parents are not helping.
What worries me is that children are being so wrapped in cotton wool and their carers are so fearful for them, that they will not grow up with any understanding of real life. There are no more paediophile now that there were when I was young. I was warned about 'strange men' flashing, etc. and had all the necessary parental warnings. We were allowed to develop knowing there were dangers and learning how best to cope. I dread to think what sort of unbalanced adults some of todays kids might grow up to be because of being continually warned about people and never let out of their carer's sight. They are learning that adults are wicked nasty people and when they need help they won't dare approach anybody.

Daffy you're lucky to be ablt to go to your sons sports day - where my son goes no parents were allowed to attend sportsday but in the next breath they asking for money for sports equipment.
With the figures Sqad has quoted how we do if photographers for newspapers aren't unsentenced child abusers? Our local paper often has pictures of children's events recorded with said photos.
I can't understand why so many people post pictures of their children on facebook though

I have pictures of my children (two are adults now) and my grandchildren on my facebook page,my account can only be seen by people on my friend list and my name can't even be searched by anyone. None of the photos are of my children unclothed or semi clothed though, so even if someone did get access somehow it wouldn't matter.
Daffy I don't belong to face book but I'm regularly emailed photos friends have put on there of their children through third parties- even though they have closed accounts - no they're not naked and are usually fully clothed but then so are children at sports days and football matches etc.
Whether my children were clothed or not I still wouldn't want a child abuser looking at them

Long before this paedo mania got totally out of hand, my wife and I always took our camcorder along to film our Grandson's Nativity Plays, and thankfully we now have many happy memories to look back on.
Now it appears schools ban the use of still cameras and video cameras at such events, but are only too willing to sell you a copy of the event, at a rather substantial charge.
A safety measure against potential paedophiles, or just a money making racket on behalf of the school?
