Was this prosecution a waste of time and money?
"A PREACHER who slapped three children for giggling as they read the Koran in a mosque has been ordered to do unpaid community work.
Sarwar, who has no previous convictions, was found guilty after a trial last month of three counts of common assault by beating."

Gromit, If he had not been a Mosque preacher, but a Catholic Priest for example, you would not be asking this question, you would be calling for him to be de-frocked and excommunicated.
What is this, he has been ordered to do unpaid community work, does it mean that some are actually sentenced to do "PAID" community work?

No it's dangerous to hit children round the head and ears.
What young child wouldn't laugh if a leaf got stuck to their nose?
This tells me that the so called preacher is teaching children that islam is a faith or violence and no laughter, which isn't true.
People have been brought to court for less.
