It's difficult to see where the racism is. Just a thug getting what he deserves.

It makes no difference what any none white defendant is charged with, They always pull the racism card. !
nothing new. Of course they say it cos there is always some pinko dogooder that will back their cause. This man is clearly scum regardless of race or anything else. He is a repeat offenber and should have got 5 years. His brief should also serve it with him. What a nobhead he is.
An unenviable record:

Dec 1997: Attacked an opponent while playing for south London club Dulwich Hamlet. He grabbed the player round the neck and as the referee booked him, head-butted and punched the opponent, breaking his cheekbone. Convicted of wounding, given an 80-hour community order, ordered to pay £250 compensation.

May 1999: Fined £240 for two counts of theft and two of fraudulently using a tax disc.

May 2002: Cleared of assaulting PC Mark Searle after claiming he was trying to diffuse a "vicious row" between the officer and a friend. Convicted for driving with excess alcohol and while uninsured. Fined £650 with £40 costs, banned from driving for nine months.

2002: Six-month community rehabilitation order at Greenwich Magistrates, ordered to pay £100 compensation for criminal damage and attempting to obtain property by deception.

2002: Jailed for 18 months (reduced to nine on appeal) for receiving £30,000 stolen BMW Cabriolet. Used cloned credit card to buy £1,200 laptop and smashed a glass panel when he was caught.

May 2003: Convicted of two counts of common assault. Police told how King chased two women in Berwick Street, Soho, with a belt and buckle wrapped round his right fist. One woman said he had attacked for "no apparent reason", punching her in the face. Fined £1,000 with £500 compensation and £100 costs.
2005: Convicted of threatening behaviour. Spat at a woman for "no apparent reason". Fined £300 at Bow St, £500 compensation, £55 costs.

June 2006: Sent home by Jamaica for alleged breach of discipline, misses match against England

Nov 2006: Sent home by Jamaica for alleged breach of discipline, banned by Jamaican Federation.

Nov 2008: Involved in fracas with teammate Dean Windass in a Scarborough casino. Not arrested, dealt with by Hull City.

Dec 11, 2008: Arrested over Soho Revue Bar attack.

It is amazing that he has remained free from prison this long. The relative who shouted the racism charge was referring to Steven Gerard being acquitted recently. He obviously was unaware that Gerard didn't have a previous record as shameful as King's.
Out in 12 months.

Should have got years...not months.
Thanks for his "Rap Sheet" Gromit.

Guilty as charged, "Book him Danno"

Sp1814, Jake-the-peg and Co. are keeping quiet over this one it seems.
They are quiet, aren't they!

Because they've always argued that black people never commit crime!

And this case proves them wrong!

Because Marlon King is black!

(Was that roughly what you were saying?)
Quinlad, you're seriously saying those people you just listed have claimed blacks never commit crimes, or were you satirising the previous poster? Just wanted to check.
Anyway, I meant to say I'm surprised the supposed comments of King's 'supporters' warrant a thread and I very seriously doubt those who made the remarks, if they did, are 'pinko doogooders', youngmafbog. More likely they're just thickos who shouted the 1st thing that wandered into their heads.

Not keeping quiet - been out all afternoon.

Bet your heart skipped a beat when you saw a story about a black wrong 'in.

Superbly pathetic.
Clearly not a racist sentence.

Not a lot else to say.
A thug is a thug whatever the colour.
