Sorry, I replied to Keyplus's post, but I didn't answer your question, flipnflap. You ask what the appeal of the Muslim faith is, but I think you have to ask yourself to whom it actually appeals. In the main it appeals to those born and bred Muslims. Islam claims vastly increasing numbers, but I believe that is as a result the high birth rate amongst Muslims, rather than the numbers converting. If you read the Koran, you will find little there to recommend this religion to anyone who hasn't been indoctrinated with it from birth, and consequently knows little else.
As far as tolerance goes, it's tolerated because we like to think of ourselves as civilised people. However, again if you read the Koran, you will find that tolerance is not high on its agenda.
