Words sometimes fail even me

Had tears in my eyes when I read this paragraph...
"The four-year-old girl had tried to feed the baby by using chairs to climb up to a kitchen cupboard and reach a tin of milk powder."
Then it goes on to say that she found life "extremely stressful" partly due (I assume?) to having 4 children by 3 different fathers......

I read this too earlier today - just disgusting! And the mum pleading how she was finding life difficult and stressful.... perhaps she should have thought about that before she lay on her back and got pregnant!
Just imagine if the poor little girl had fed the baby something poisonous without knowing and the baby had died!
These kids are better of without her - or any of that family!!!!

Daffy- sorry, no offence meant ,but maybe I'm stereotypiing here, but I do happen to think that 4 children, by 22, with 3 different fathers is very relevant.
Also what struck me about this story, was that she had friends round for booze and drugs prior to going out, can we assume that her friends were with her, and not one of those thought anything was wrong in what she was doing?

No stereotyping BOO.. I think we all can guess exactly what kind of chavvy girl this is... Likes to sh&g about - gets pregnant without any thought to how to pay for the kids - lives on benefits - father disappears - she smokes and drinks thru pregnancy... kids grow up - play truant - steal cars...
Its going on all the time... chav breeding chav breeding chav!
What hope is there for a better society eh!!!

As I said,my 3 children have different fathers. I am not a chav,I was 29 at the time my third was born and I am still with his father now.
I do not live on a council estate but have done in the past. In fact I was brought up in council run children's homes...SHOCK,HORROR.
None of my children have criminal records and are well brought up,polite individuals,in fact my youngest probably has more brains than 80% of the posters on AB(myself included) and will go on to great things.
In Sqad's perfect little world my children would have been taken from me at birth...how can that be right?

Daffy, no one is comparing you to this woman at all, not even sqad.
However I''m willing to bet that you weren't getting trollied and or smacked up to the eyeballs when your children were small were you?
I understand your argument, i really can, however alot of us (me included) do pre-judge women like Ms Stephenson here and find her failing, regrettably in this case we've been proved right.

daffy....why personalise this..........many people agree with me.
You are to be admired on bringing up your children in that way and I do admire you for that.
No system is perfect and there will be exceptions as they always will be, but certain situations stand out and hit you in the face......in these situations it would be better to take the child away from it's biological mother at birth.....in my opinion.
