What is it about people like him who seem to fear the condemnation of their communities more than they love their children?
He's just been convicted of the 'honour killing' of his 15 year old daughter.

I have often tried to understand the mentality of this but it has never been explained adequately, perhaps keyplus, our resident "expert" would explain it.
I once watched a documentary about a UK muslim girl on the run with her white UK boyfriend. They couldnt settle too long in any one town because of how willing the large muslim community network would happily dob in her whereabouts to her family - knowing damn well what would happen.
I've mentioned this before, there is NO honour in killing another human being.

I can't get my head around this.....
Although there has been cases like these involving people from all religions but I don't think it has anything to do with any religion. It is more to do with cultural and cast based issues. At least to my knowledge in Islam there is nothing like honour killing. What the individuals do has nothing to do with their belief unless it is written in their religious scriptures that you must do this.

Then what are you saying, it's beats any other type of killing, hands down?
