Of course it was! but I'm talking about the snow!
I`ve only got 1" so far here, but it is freezing, no excuse I know but I`m expecting a good flurry later

Barely a couple of inches in North London, but yesterday we were all told we could take our laptops home and work from home today if conditions deteriorated.

Got into the office at 6.30am and still there are only six of us (out of 150).

Everyone else is at home, still in their pyjamas, watching their box sets of The Wire that they got for Christmas.

B*****ds.

They did the same here SP but as a local I know it rarely snows much in Bournemouth, occasional flurry for an hour at most. So here I am at my desk! To be fair though there are others sounds like your colleagues took it as a green light to skive off!

Just watching BBC News and it is as though there has been a natural disaster of biblical proportions. It is snowing in the soft south, and the end of the world cannot be far behind.

Just to slightly hijack the Geezers thread, Do you think schools should employ its staff more locally? Schools often get shut after a few millimetres of the white stuff, and 95% of pupils live within 1.5 miles, but the thousands of pupils get sent home because all the teachers drive in from miles away, and the school is closed early for their convenience.

whoo hoo, it's snowing now! Better late that never!

Is that right Gromit? The barstewards!
Fair comment Gromit......when I worked for the civil service if you couldn't get into work you lost your pay and it went on your HR record.........it was deemed that the onus was on you to live close enough to be able to get in no matter what the weather.............
Bloody Bournemouthians, You had Harry Redknap,we in L/'A {Littlehampton} didn't -stop moaning !
Anyone who has the pleasure of living in Bournemouth has no right to moan about anything :-P
