When is this charade of the two princes acting out as British military officers going to end?

William recently conducted a tour of Australia and New Zealand, while is brother Harry wiles his time playing polo in the Barbados.Nice work if you can get it, but others not so lucky are serving out 15hrs shifts for six months in Afghanistan.

Yes I know they are born into Royalty and each have to carry out their duties as such, but they don't have to be in the armed forces, to do this.

Since they have chosen to become servicemen, why is it they automatically graduate from Sandhurst and then go on to pick what service they want to be in, William has tried all three, but has finally chosen the RAF, Harry has now chosen to be in the Army Air Corps, both as Helicopter pilots.

Because they are spoilt brats who have the freedom to do as they please without reproach as they look down on the plebs.

Harry is as dim as a Toc H lamp and Willy will be encouraged to marry that lovely looking commoner Kate Middleton so's their babies will have bones and carry on the royal line.

If they were to get killed on duty it would cost the taxpayer a fortune in the cost of a funeral and so i hope the queen and prince philip have set aside enough to cover the funerals if that happens, I know the services will pay for a military funeral though and so hopefully she'll choose that option. In the meantime I hope they stay safe.

Oh dear.

Ok, so two young guys have the privileged upbringing they have. Not their fault. Been a bit wild and raucous in the past. Who hasn't? Reckon I'd have punched a pap or two if they were looking to snap me every time I left the pub!

But at least they've had the cojones to prepare themselves for a career where a possible nasty death or serious injury awaits them. William, being next in line to his father would never be allowed frontline service, hence his choice of Search & Rescue pilot.
Harry, to be fair, fought tooth and nail to serve on the frontline. Ok, he was always going to get a slightly easier TAOR than other frontline troops, but he never shyed away from his duty.

Many who *** them wouldn't have the courage to even walk through a recruiting office door.....
