Is there any point in voting ?

Being as most MPs are self serving crooks , what is the point of voting for any of them ?

i think there is a point to voting as it were. it enables you to partake and have a say for a start, which is not a liberty in many countries in the world.

this doesnt mean that you have to vote for the people presented, unless you want to, you can spoil your vote with a clear message that you donlt want 'any of the above' or suchlike - it still gets counted overall.

the worst thing you can do is not turn up and then complain about the result. the message there is that you are just not bothered.

Vote, in case the miserable crook, who you don't want, doesn't get in and an even worse crook, who you want even less, does.
We're going to end up with an MP whether we vote or not. Therefore we ought to take the lesser , or least, of the evils on offer.

Yes voting is worth it, look for a party whose policies you agree with and vote for them, the end.

I don't think most MPs are self-serving crooks. A minority give all the others a bad name. If I don't vote then I can't complain. The bankers are far worse - ruin the economy and still take their bonuses.

I wish the politicians would worry more about looking after this country. It seems our PMs are more worried about making a name for themselves by parading themselves on the world stage. This trend got worse with Blair and now Brown is trying to save the world. Anyone would think all our problems had been solved.

The trouble is zita it is not a minority who ripped us off 292 have been told to pay the money back and as you know another 4 are being prosecuted. In addition a further number have already paid back money so as to avoid having their names published. With the exception of 2/3 who are squeaky clean the rest took advantage of the rules which they wrote in the first place.
