My problem with this site is you can ask a light question and they will preach everything but the answer, or choose just to call you names.Most often a troll!
Thats why I also stay in shopping with EKNewsDS..

EKnewsDS

You are one of the biggest bullies on this site.

Judging by how you try to bully me.

Isn't shopping a girlie bit of the site?

Zeuhl, are you in anyway suggesting that Oldgit is 'quality?' Oh no - (laughing) that is so cruel of me!

I think Revel raises a good issue but what I find really amusing is how people steadfastely hold onto their views despite some persuasive arguments.
The whole concept of the site would be very boring if we all just agreed with each other. I was once called "A heathen" for prefering Vegemite to Marmite. There's a big difference between debate/dissent/arguing and bullying.

Personally the only place where I ever see bullying on here is in chatterbank and usually on a very trivial thread. At the risk of being hounded forever more I would venture to say that there are denizens of CB who have too much time on their hands and not enough else going on in their lives. Maybe that explains why they can get wound up over little things.
//That's not bullying - it's Quality Control.//

Class! :o)
Even in CB I don't see much bullying. Just some very over sensitive people who can't handle it when people disagree with them. I think it should be compulsory for all newbies to spend the first few weeks in news. They will learn all about difference of opinion then :-)
Ummmm,

Perhaps there's a difference between bullying and just plain viciousness but I've seen exchanges in CB, usually between, women where you get the feeling that if this was real life they'd have the nails flaying and ripping each others hair out. Typically over something like did somebody work in a travel agents. I'm not scared of much in life but if chatterbank was a pub I wouldn't risk it.
lol....
On a forum you have just the written word to go on. No clues from facial expression or body position and such like. It is too easy to react immediately, and later think you may not have got it quite right.

Doesn't help that you can't read you post, decide it's not quite right, and correct it.
