That thing in the photograph ?

In what parallel universe would anyone worry if THAT was taken off the menu !

Yeeuuuck !!
Typical, did they bother for the Jewish faith (They dont eat pork).

Sounds a total nonsence, are the franchisees Mouslim by any chance.

It is a commercial organization though so they can do as they please, people can vote with their feet. Looks like a good spot for one of those other didy fried chicken places to open next door !
"Traditionally, halal meat must be slaughtered by hand, although KFC, which has more than 750 restaurants in the UK, said its chickens are not killed in this way.

The meat must also be blessed in the name of Allah and cannot be kept on the same premises as banned substances including pork and alcohol."

How do the restaurants where I live round this? The meat in the curries is halal and the sell beer, wine, and spirits?
Sorry, should have read "How do the restaurants where I live get round this? "
Because, Haggisdj, like every follower of religion, they bend or break the rules of their religion to fit in with their own particular circumstances.

Just like a married woman I work with who is "deeply religious", and yet is quite happy shagging somebody else at work. She is so 'deeply religious' that she is willing to break a Commandment.
^ screaming 'oh my god' at the top of her voice does not make her deeply religious ;-)
big deal. If a restaurant doesn't have anything on the menu you like, go to another restaurant.

Or of course go the Mail and get your name up in lights because the world isn't run exactly the way you like it.
I should add, were I to eat a KFC (the last one I had was about ten years ago and I was at that stage of drunkeness where a scabby horse appears like ambrosia) I really really couldn't care less whether the meat was Halal or not.
But flipflop Muslims are not allowed to get into that state, so you have to wonder why they would want the horrible looking thing.
What I (rather clumsilly) meant was, if I went to KFC or McSh!te or, for that matter, La Gavroche (I wish) or anywhere, and I was told the only meat being served was Halal meat, I couldn't care less if I tried.

I regularly use a Halal butcher close to me.

I guess what I'm saying is - so what if they are only serving Halal meat. Is it really such an issue that somebody can't have a piece of bacon on their chicken burger?
