It seems this is all based on the fact that they once shared a twin room. So are 2 people of the same sex sharing a room now deemed Gay by default?

Is there a difference, jno ??
It seems we have a few Tory worshippers here!
Tory worshipper ?

Do you mean the bloke who slept with William Hague? LOL
Why Answerprancer?

I just think private lives should be kept private no matter what party they stand for.
definitely, jj, the real world has Changi, Brighton has, ugh, Gatwick. And they're even downgrading the Gatwick Express, I believe, which was the one good thing about going there.
I should think Party conferences are hotbeds of "experimentation" !!
Yeah right - jump right in there and get my obviously humerous post removed - it all smells of tory worship to me.

LOL Yes JJ - that's another way of looking at it.
Missed your humorous post....
slappy slappy sucky sucky ? LOL
Hague was ill-advised.

I think it was a tactical error to release the statement. Yes, the rumours were circulating on the net, but so what? Over the past few years, there have been loads of Internet based rumours which eventually die out when they run out of steam. By going on record to deny the rumours, he himself has made it a national story.

You cannot blame the papers for reporting the story. Hague himself made it a national story.

Re: privacy...whether he 'experimented' or none of our business. The only element of the story which might be of public interest (rather than being interesting to the public) is whether he used his position to get a job for his lover.

He's denied that, and there is absolutely no proof that he's lying.
the thing that always concerns me, is if you push someone too much, they usually top themselves. hopefully i´m totally wrong

To me he seems etremely un gay, so what do you think SP can you spot a gay? Are there signs? what do you think?
Oh answerprance...I think I get the gist.

Piggy...that's why I believe that private lives should be kept private. The media can never know when they've over stepped the mark.
just for the record AP I didn't report your unsavoury comment, if I was to report anyone I will tell them first...and I doubt whether ummm would of either :-0)
Seriously though, afaic it shouldn't matter a jot if any MP turned out to be gay, surely their policies and political intentions are the only significant factor.
R1 Geezer..

<<can you spot a gay<<

A guy comes "mincing " down the street in a pink shirt, tight trousers, well coiffured hair, stupid inane grin on his face, head moving from side to side and with a limp wrist says "helooow sailor"

What would you put your money on.

LOL
I deduced that Bobbisox - I just threw the comment out generally, I thought it was pompous and un-necessary to remove it, and I think I now know who it was.
Apologies to anyone who feels unfairly 'blamed' by me.
no worries :-0)
I believe he is about to talk to the Taliban. I wonder what he's got to offer them?
