With the likelihood of tens of thousands of troops being axed, along with up to 40,000 police officers, will the peoples of this country be adequately protected, in the event of civil disturbance etc?
Also in the likely scenario of the need to send our troops to yet another World trouble spot, will the lack of full time troops necessitate the need for compulsory conscription?

If they can reduce the frontline officers to a minimum it could work.
///Hampshire Police currently have 3,731 officers, 2,635 civilian staff and 344 police community support officers.///
Not to mention the mergers that can take place between counties so more efficiency.
