Is it not time that these archaic practices, (that are foreign to our Christian country), are banned?
And if certain religious groups cannot eat meat apart from halal, then it should be them that should refrain from eating ours, rather than us having to.eat theirs.

Can't argue against that, it only needs a quango to be formed, a few persons of eminence to convince the gullible that meat is no good for us, and is in fact dangerous, and discover that vast sums of money can be made by selling an alternative.
Then almost overnight you will see cattle markets closed down, abattoirs closed down, butchers shops no longer on the high street, and our green fields of Britain empty of livestock.
But one thing I guarantee you will see, and that is 'Johnny Foreigner carrying on in his own particular way.

Suits me just fine, the whole meat farming industry is obscene IMO - particularly the beef industry, I'm not a vegetarian but I avoid as much as possible red-meat and battery farmed poultry for this reason.
