looks like the Kiwis and Aussies are close to pulling out too.
Did my answer not count then?
Awww, the poor little cherubs with their dirty rooms. Diddums, my heart bleeds purple Fosters!!
Watching it yesterday...I'd say it's slightly worse than dirty rooms Bob..
I'm sorry ummmm, but after some of the living conditions I've spent months at a time in, it would take a hell of a lot for me to feel much sympathy. If the atheletes were paying for this out of their own pocket (ala holidays) then I would be a bit more understanding.
Bob...respect you as I do, you chose that job. They chose theirs...

It's not just the rooms. A pedestrian bridge collapsed injuring 23. This is a bridge that's suppose to carry 1000's of people daily.

Okay ummmm, from a safety perspective, there is a lot to be desired I agree. But with regards to cleanliness, if it's that messy that you cannot live with it, then clean it yourself. Your right though I chose my job, and they chose theirs.
I understand if it was general dirt but some of the apartments have leaks and stagnant water....In a country like India, would you take the risk?
There are also worries about security.
The attacks in Mumbai have made a lot of foreigners/westeners very twitchy about the levels of personal security they can expect whilst competing.
I have taken the risk ummmm lol.

In fact, one day I'll tell you about the day Poo Pond in Kandahar overflowed........
If the living conditions are not up to speed there could be sanitation issues which are a legitimate concern if you ask me. They don`t call it Delhi Belly for nothing! I got a nice dose which lasted a fortnight last summer from Mumbai and that was in a 5 star hotel. Seems a shame they have had their big opportunity to host the games and it`s all going a bit pear-shaped.
Bob...I bet you went to India by choice. These Athletes are going as part of their job...
Pssst, ummmm - Kandahar is the airbase in Afghanistan.............;o/
