Just watching the BBC news - those trapped miners might be out in a few hours, they're drilling to send the special pod down now. They're describing what they will have to do when they come out (special glasses etc as they won't be used to light). Fingers crossed that the drill gets through without further accident, and the men get to safety.

I bloody hope so. I must confess that I haven't paid too much attention to their plight. Any idea why it's taken so long to get them out?

I lost track, but I think it's because they've had to design the kit to get them out. This pod they are sending down is big enough for a man to get in.
The critical part will be when the drill finally breaks through, as any do-it-your-self-er knows.

This is why the drilling work has to slow down, I heard it would be Monday before they got the first man out.

Lets hope all the hard work proves successful and all those chaps are got back safely to the surface without a hitch.
They're bound to be psychologically scarred from the ordeal. I read somewhere they were not being paid and hope to God that's not true.
i have been following this story everyday, i so hope nothing goes wrong with their plans for the rescue.
I would have thought that money would be the last thing on their minds at the moment Toni.
