Well, well we have come to believe that foreigners want to come to Britain because of their free houses, their free health service, their free schools, their free maternity care, the cash benefits etc, etc..
Not in the least, they actually come because of our sense of fair play.
An Afghan man said "Fairness is basically treating people as equal and respecting their rights, respecting their freedoms and abiding by the laws,"
I wonder who's laws he means?

I thought that immigrants also paid taxes and made NI contributions through their pay slips, but it would appear that they don't, and that all UK born Brits are fully employed and supporting the feckless incomers.
Weird thing is, I keep seeing immigrants starting their own businesses (restaurants, corner shops, wholesale distribution companies, cab firms etc) and others working for established UK-based firms both in the private and public sector.
Can't get my head around that one.
Do you think perhaps they're not immigrants? Maybe they're actually British, but with accents I'm not used to? A lot of people get the southern Welsh accent mixed up with the Pakistani one...?

Yes but how many of those businesses actually contribute to the UK tax and NI system?
Why do you think so many immigrant businesses are mainly "cash" based (corner shops, taxis etc).
If a large family run a corner shop then often the husband, wife, children, grandparents work in the shop.
But how many of those are actually paid a "salary". Probably only the husband, and he gets the basic wage (the rest of the money goes in the family "pot").
And if none of the family are earning a salary then they are not paying tax, NI etc.
Same with immigrant taxi drivers. It is all "cash in hand". Often different members of the same family "share" a taxi, each do 8 hour shifts so the taxi is always on the road.
But only one of them is actually legally allowed to drive the taxi, so the rest are doing it illegaly, and passengers are probably not insured.
And immigrant restaurants. How many Asian restaurants emply non-Asians, or even women (when have you ever been served by an Asian woman in an Asian restrauant).
(I am aware that "white" people also do this sort of thing, but many immigrantrs come from countries where "fiddling the system" is a way of life so they will do anything to avoid paying tax and contributing to the country as a whole).
So dont think all these immigrant businesses are all happily contributing to our tax system, they are not. Many of them JUST contribute to their family and they dont give a stuff about the country.

Leaving aside your slur on the honesty of immigrant businessmen, you seem to forget that tax is paid on goods and services. Even if they employ family members cash in hand, they still have to pay council taxes, business taxes etc. That's unavoidable.
Also, remember, they are wealth generators. A corner shop owner will have to pay for energy to run the shop, will have to pay for rubbish collection, will have to pay for their store contents which in turn earns money for it's suppliers.
So in all - these people are getting up and earning because in so many immigrant communities, to not have a job a be able to provide for one's family is seen as a shameful thing.

Of all the immigrants I see interviewed they say their own country is in a mess because of the recent wars and is not a safe place to live. I thought we invaded these countries to give them peace and prosperity.
Now that the yanks have seen that fighting in Afghanistan is a waste of time they are allowing the Taliban freedom to travel to negotiate a solution with the Afghan authorities. The US is pulling out next year. Why do we insist we are pulling out in 2015? Why do we find the best solutions are those that should have been put into place many years ago?

Unfortunately there are an utold number of cases of immigrants 'fiddling' the system or simply coming here and being treated better.
True, there are many British people (not just white, but black/Asian/Whatever) who are also on the fiddle. But they are British, it is our mess to clean up. If someone comes here they are not our mess and should be more grateful to the life given.
Again it is true we have many useful immigrants. If we had a decent immigration policy that only allowed in those whoe work and take up British citizenship then fine. But we dont, 13 years of Noo Labour let any Tom Dick or Abdul in. And that is the problem.
