Offensive, or simply art?

The artist says "I want to shock", has he succeeded?
Should this 'art work' be removed from display?
Could it be just as upsetting as those 'Allah cartoons'?
Do Muslims believe in Angels?
Yet another Muslim artist in trouble, this time by her own believers.

Interviewed on the tv news last night he said the opposite and it was simply a sincere personal response of a fellow londoner to the events of 7/7.
I can't see why anyone would choose to be offended by this art work.

That would of course be dependant if one happened to be personally involved, with the bombings.
/// John Falding, whose partner Anat Rosenberg died in the Tavistock Square attack, said the artwork was 'unnecessary' and 'upsetting' to see.///
/// Number 30 bus driver George Psaradakis, 54, who survived the 7/7 attack in Tavistock Square, last night called for the picture, titled Age Of Shiva, to be removed from its exhibition.///

"Do Muslims believe in Angels?"
Considering you post pretty much daily about Muslims in some form or another I would have thought you would take the time to actually learn a little about, what seems to be one of your favourite subjects.
Believing in angels is one of the six Articles of Faith in Islam.

Artistically it is a very powerful image. The painting seems to show the dead becoming angels and the sunshine. This maybe be comforting to some of those that lost people in 7/7 but the real problem here is number one that it's showing the blown up bus which will offend some, the other main problem I see here is that it was painted by a "Muslim" and a Muslim is the one that that took their loved ones. Or should that be so called Muslim as Mark Sinckler doesn't sound very Muslim also another thing that puts doubt into my mind is his painting has angels and faces in it which is forbidden to do in Islam. Apart from the newswpaper calling him Muslim, how do we know he is Muslim?

For some slightly less "sensationalist" reporting on the story.
