It was very sad to read about the death of this politician. That you get some extremist fundamentalists who believe that expressed views contrary to their own should be exterminated is profoundly depressing. One can only hope that this is effectively a transition phase and that the moderates will eventually win out - I think they will, but it will take some time and I would imagine quite a few more deaths and bombings on that road.
