So, the price of fuel has rocketed to such a level that people can no longer afford to use their cars. Are all you tree hugging lefty liberals happy now? Do I hear you all hailing Cameron and Osbourne for cutting the car usage ?

Personally I cant understand what the pair of them are up to. I know this is a legacy from hand wringing labour politicians but surely in a time when inflation needs to be kept low to generate growth this should be quickly reversed?
Through cuts many people will be loosing their jobs. Jobs in their area will no longer be available so they will need to travel. Record fuel prices, massive hikes in rail fare and what do we get? – A suggestion that bikes may be gieven out?
Are Cameron and Osbourne living on this planet ?

Are you right whingers happy?

You moaned and moaned about the supposed war on motorists from Labour - you got your men in and they're doing exactly the same.

During the lection it was all about fuel price stabilisers - now they're in power it's all that's going to be too difficult!

I have no sympathy - you all voted for them

What part of the word "Austerity" were you hving difficulty with?

Tax Revenue.

Next question please.
Victorians would walk 10 miles to work every day if they had to. But apparently Britons have lost the use of their legs since then.

Why blame Labour? Wasn't it the well known Tory Norman Tebbit who told people to get on their bikes and look for work - long before Blair's time?

Yes Jake I moanded then and I am moaning now. Unlike many of you lefties I am willing to critise my party if I think they are wrong. I am not after sympathy just a discussion.

As for austerity you seem to have ignored my point about the need for travel to get work further away. That is not austerity. Ad gromit says probably tax, but as labour found out years ago a high tax on zero equals zero so it is not as clearcut as that.

As for walking 10 miles, I thin we are looking at alot more than that - otherwise yes a bike would do. Britons have not lost the use of their legs. Come to London and see the commuters using them in their droves.

I blamed labour on the price of fuel not about bikes.
Oh come on Gromit it's your opnions we want to read not a string of links.
Links have their place but this is AB not a branch of the newspapers.
