Although this woman has suffered enough, should she be let off so lightly?

Should this woman be made to pay the legal expenses this trial has cost the taxpayer?
In one such similar case the woman was sent to jail, but I don't think she was a Muslim.

The Judge said:
/// "This will not be tolerated. It is for the courts to carry out judicial functions and it’s not for individuals or sections of the community to attempt to resolve these matters outside the court." ///
Then what will be done about it then?
/// Judge Newell said "he hoped to set up a meeting with representatives of the Muslim community and would be discussing the collapse of the case with the most senior judge in the town" ///
And what will this achieve, nothing will change a culture that has been set in it's ways for thousands of years.
/// Salim Mulla, chairman of the Lancashire Council of Mosques, said
"The Asian community sometimes has a different way of working, trying to resolve the problems itself rather than leaving it to the police" ///.
And we all know what these 'different ways of working' are, don't we?
The 'Asian Community' should learn to follow the law of the land, if they choose to live in Britain.

I suspect the Judge was hinting at that in his summing up R1.
Wasting the Courts time (and Police and everyone else) is a serious offence. Apart from the cost it potentially belittles future trials/investigations of a similar nature.
For many cases, yes I would agree. In this one no, she will suffer enough.
And what was Baroness Walsi banging on about yesterday ?
