well I know my ancestors are largely Irish (as is the norm in Merseyside) so I suppose I don't count. In fact much of the Wirral has some viking ancestry too so shall we just build a moat between the Dee and the Mersey near Chester?

Most of these children who are "not white" will be British citizens now, these will be second and third generation children. It was going that way when I lived in Birmingham in the 1980s, so it's not hot news for some of us.
I enjoy the diversity - we had dinner with some Japanese and Czech people last night, who live in our road.
