Are we to believe all illegal immigrant's when they state that they are gay or that they also face execution or imprisonment because of their political leanings, or are they simply excuses for attaining a free ride in the UK?

Why travel half way round world from Uganda to claim immunity. Couldn';t they just nip across to Rhodesia or South Africa, the travel costs would be a lot less. As you say it must be something to do with our benefits system. I can't believe the British gay community are sending out invitations to 3rd world countries.

South Africa wouldn't be safe for anybody. It seems to be a lawless place. Rhodesia, do you mean the country run by Mugabe? It's not very attractive, either.
Let them come here. We've plenty of room.
What on earth is it with this thread and all the 'answer removed'.

I HATE it when an answer is removed before I can be offended by it.

Can anyone who's been following this thread (carefully) summarise?

Were they removed because of racist comments, homophobic comments, or the new improved racial/homophobic content (two birds, one stone).
So does a Ugandan lesbian engage in Ugandan Discussions ?

/// A good ploy once here is to chuck your passport way ///

Perhaps a way out of that, would be to send all non-passport holding asylum seekers to be sent to a displaced persons camp in the Outer Hebrides.

I think they would soon own up to where they came from.

/// AOG, you should be proud of our fine liberal traditions. They're the best of British.///

/// Let them come here. We've plenty of room.///

All very fine words, from the country were we enjoy a good substantial roof over our heads, free medical care, a school place for every youngster, etc, etc.

You say we've plenty of room, yes look at all those green fields we enjoy, but having plenty of land mass, which in it's self is a debatable point, its by far not the whole picture.

Have you taken into account the infrastructure?

Are you prepared to witness the complete downfall of our much envied NHS?

See class-rooms that overcrowded with pupils, that they cannot enjoy a good education?

Not enough houses to accommodate the ever increasing numbers?

A larger number of unemployed than we have ever known?

See populated areas as big as Birmingham spring up covering over our green fields.

And with all those fields and farms gone, how would we feed the future masses?

If you can honestly say you are prepared to see Britain undergo these changes and then become a third world country, then call me selfish but I am certainly not.

I'm intrigued as well sp - I posted that the question raised by AOG isn't homphobic as that was the allegation levelled at him by NazNomad.

NazNomad's response was removed before I could see his/her response, but as it was removed I assume it was less than complementary about me pointing out to him/her that the Q wasn't homophobic.
No it wasn't flip-flop...just something along the lines 'wait for it'
Fair enough - in which case I unreservedly apologise to NazNomad for suggesting otherwise.
