starting to realize that democracy is not against the law.
Going by the past week after Egypt succeeded, then Iran and Yemen have started their protest and now Bahrain today?

I don't think Bahrain's the one to be worried about - the friends of the Royal familly have been running about playing the Iran card and it seems to be working - well at least with Modeller.
Just because someone's a Shi'te doesn't make them a friend of Iran any more than being a Catholic made them a friend of the IRA!
No if you want to find a BogeyMan I suggest you look over at the Yemen.
There's a country barely holding on to stable government and there are with very strong links to Al Qaeda..
I wonder if the Singaporese have heard of Bangladesh - they have a GDP per head of $1,500 a year and is a parliamentary democracy.
However he does have a point - but average figures distort the picture and the average GDP per head is probably less important that the *typical* income per head.
