Over recent months there have been a number of attacks on Christians. The latest in Egypt and Iraq. As both Muslims and Christians have lived peacefully in those lands for hundreds of years what has sparked these outrages?

its not new or recent though is it, and although the reasons are varied they ultimately lead to the differing ideologies and intolerance.

Maybe its the West's intolerance of other societies. By invading Iraq and Afghanistan, neither which were called upon, to put forward our own views on how their society should be managed.

The Taliban rule may not be our ideal of how countries should be run but they have existed for centuries quite happily till we came along.

The Chilcot inquiry will probably reflect on what damage invading any country that disagrees with us can cause as both of these adventures have been a catastrophic failure.

Just to add a bit more to what Rov 1100 said. Western countries want all of the people in the world to follow them. For example if they start wearing mini skirt then they want all of the people to wear it or be called uncivilised. If they accept homosexual relationship same as a heterosexual then all others should follow or get ready for consequences.

UNO declared that Israel committed crimes by using white phosphorus against civilians and by attacking and killing people on board a ship full of food for the people in the biggest concentration camp in the world know as Ghaza. And thats all what action was really taken? Obviously there are so many other reasons why few people in few countries believe that Christian countries in the west ignore if not back genocide of Muslims anywhere in the world, be it in Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia etc. But instead call a child terrorist when he throws a stone onto a tank that is coming to level his home. Then although not right but what would you expect?
I thought you would get a lot of support over this sandy, just lately I feel as if I am living in a foreign country and the enemies of Christianity and Great Britain are out to get me.

"RULE BRITANNIA" but pass me my tin-hat..

One of the great things about our country is that there's room for opinions of all sorts. It would be a sad day when opinions were banned. You're free to voice your opinion, AOG, as others are free to attack it.
what people don't seem to realise is that people in the middle east don't see attacks on islamic countries as stopping at borders, they consider themselves pretty much as a brotherhood - attack one, you attack us all.
Now look at western media - the satellite stuff in particular as that's what reaches other countries. Take Fox News as an example - to them it seems it's black and white, islam = evil, christian = good. So why wouldn't someone ignorant enough to blow up or shoot another human agree and reverse that, and see the 'invading' armies solely as christians?
Christians have witnessed years of violence and opression not just in Islamic countries but also by other religions and ideologies such as Communism, Hinduism etc.

This goes back years before unrest in the Middle East, 9/11 and whatever moment in history we choose to be a turning point.

It only goes to proove the theory that true multi-culuralism including varying religious factions rarely and sadly ever works out.
Do not know where you are or what strange propoganda you read keyplus90. In which western countries are people forced to wear, read, worship, drink, live with who they are told to, or many every day activities that in those great Islamic states you admire, will get you at least into a stinking prison, or more likely lose your head.
I wonder why Keyplus, who constantly criticises western culture, wants to live here. (And it isn't, as he once told me, because his wife doesn't like the heat). If, in his opinion, it is so very bad, then he has a choice.
perhaps they both like it here, but don't understand why people are so agressive and judgemental when his wife chooses to wear a hijab.
Ankou, are people judgemental when his wife chooses to wear a hijab? He's never said.
i wonder why.
Ankou, probably because your random guess isn't right. Perhaps you should stick to reading his posts instead of making it up as you go along.
maybe, maybe not. but he has a right to stay and moan if he chooses. i don't agree with a lot of what he says, but i won't be shoving him towards the border like you.
Ankou, your inability to comprehend continually lets you down.
