Pro Democracy Fighter?.

I was wondering, the Libyan Rebels, (or whatever you like to call them), are being described as Pro Democracy fighters.

Who first started calling them that, and has anyone told them that they are fighting for Democracy?,

Ah yes the old pro-democracy line, lets all support the pro-democratists get them in finance them. Then in two years wonder why Libya is a fundemental muslim society holding us over an oil barrel.

so if they say they are fighting against the government for democracy they will theoretically gain the support of the wider world i guess.

He wants the west to back him - so that is a good line to take.

Unfortunately for him, western intelligence and correspondents have found no evidence of that.

Of course, if they were fighting a US-backed regime, they'd be called insurgents.

There is a group, Al Qaeda in the Maghreb. Is Libya part of the Maghreb?

The Maghreb is excellent.

I would recommend the Chicken Jalfrezzi. And their Sag Bhajee is also very good.
