We were wrong on immigration

Finally labour have admitted what most of us knew all along, that labour let immigration get out of control.

In the last year of labour 226,000 immigrants entered the country at a time when we are struggling to find work for our own.

It alos appears labour commisioned 3 reports that showed them they were making a mistake, but they buried them despite the fact the public purse paid £100 for them

But Milliband is opposing attempts to get it under control so just what is his game, does he even have one?

I second anotheoldgits reply, but I also think there are some underlying issues as well.

Let's put it this way, from the time Labour were voted in, to now, the small town in which we live, has seen a 'massive' influx of foreigners.

They all seem to love our Asda store, so I expect their profits have increased too! ;o}

But that will not stop all the people from other EU countries who can come here.

Because of the totally stupid decision to allow countries from Eastern Europe in the EU we now have a situation that people from really really poor backwards countries, with no business skills at all, can come to this country and we can do nothing to stop them.

Unless of course we take the decision to pull out the EU, but I dont think any British politician will be brave enough to even suggest it.

p,s, And of course if Italy accepts lots of immigrants from Libya, once they are in Italy they can also come to this country, as Italy are also in the EU.

Immigrants can't vote in General Elections. In local elections, only those immigrants from the EU can vote.

No they can't, unless Italy gives them full citizenship - unlikely in the extreme.

I think Italy has a far worse immigration problem than we do here, from eastern Europe and Africa mostly.
