Unfair help for the rebels.

The civil war in Libya seemed one-sided in favour of Gadaffi, the rag-tag opposition needed help to fight against him......So do you think that it`s a tad one sided in favour of the rebels now as they got the USA 5th Fleet, UK Royal Navy, the Itallian Marines and numerous high altitude laser guided missiles being fired from jet fighters based in their back yard in the Med.

Its a no fly zone. They should not be aiming at soldiers on the ground so if eanything it evens it up.

However I doubt it is even, the soldiers will have far better weaponary than the rebels but the no fly zone is to stop wholsale slaughter. Nothing else.

The population of Tripoli is about 2m most of them Gaddafi supporters. These supporters are being neglected in favour of the rebels in Bengazi of which there are less than 1 million.

So you are right the rebels are getting favourable treatment. You have to remember these are traitors to the existing government and started the uprising leading to many deaths. Gaddafi is just defending the status quo and his country.

As the UN resolution only provides for military intervention to bring about a ceasefire, and as Libya have announced just that, I would say that the west has been outmanoeuvred. Any action they take now will be illegal.
