A fishy tale
A Russian soldier was on a train, sitting opposite a Jew who was eating a fish meal.
‘Why are you Jews so successful in business?’ asked the Russian soldier.
‘Fish,’ replied the Jew. ‘It’s is good for the brain – eating fish makes one more intelligent.’
Seeing the Jew enjoying his fish meal, the Russian soldier asked if he could buy some fish from him.
‘Certainly – I’ll sell you a portion of fish for 30 Kopeks.’ said the Jew.
The Russian soldier agreed and handed over 30 Kopeks – and in exchange the Jew gave him a large portion of fish.
Having settled down to eat his fish meal, the Russian soldier said ‘Hey Jew, I could have bought this fish at the station for 15 Kopeks.’
To which the Jew replied ‘See, it’s working already.’
