A motorcycle patrolman was rushed to the hospital with an inflamed appendix.
The doctors operated and advised him that all was well.
However, the patrolman kept feeling something pulling at the hairs on his chest.
Worried that it might be second surgery the doctors hadn't told him about, he finally got enough energy to pull his hospital gown down enough so he could look at what was making him so uncomfortable.
Taped firmly across his hairy chest were three wide strips of adhesive tape, the kind that doesn't come off.
Written in large black letters was the sentence.
"Get well quick..... from the nurse you gave a ticket to last week."
Ohhh painful, marvel.
Reminds me of the message written in the grime on the walls of Leeds Inner Ring Road, just before the slip road off to the Hospital. For about a month the message read Good Luck Matthew, get well soon love Penny.
Then someone altered some of the letters, then it read Good F*ck Matthew get well soon Love Benny. (True)
Also calls to mind a request on Gibraltar BFBS radio, from one nurse to another, hoping, despite their previous differences, that she would soon be recovered from the flu' and, to remind her of how she caught the flu, the song requested, Blanket On The Ground. Yes, it was that long ago!
